What is Pastoral Care?

Pastoral care is a positive, non-directive approach that focuses on building up the members of the church, nurturing and developing ordinary, healthy church members. It seeks:

• to create a caring environment in which all people can grow and develop to their full potential;
• to care for God's people and help them cope with the ups and downs of everyday life;
• to help people to grow in their faith, to live as believers and to fulfil their purpose in life.
