The book of Judges goes out of its way to describe the God-human encounter; the connection between the Spirit of God and the spirit of the judge. It tells us how God came mightily upon these judges.

1. What kind of person had these spiritual encounters? (Preparation for divine encounter)
2. What happened to them in these spiritual encounters? (Nature of the spiritual encounter)
3. What sort of spiritual transformation resulted from these spiritual encounters? (Results)
