Elijah came on the scene from nowhere. We have no record of him as a prominent prophet before his encounter with Ahab. He came from God and he went to God. But no one just arrives. Years of preparation and inner development and testing took place in Elijah before God launched him from obscurity and into the public arena. Elijah’s preparation took place in seclusion and separation to God!
