We have intrinsic value as human beings, regardless of whether we meet the world’s understanding of self-esteem; confidence in our ability to think; successful, deserving, entitled to assert our needs and wants, and to achieve our values etc.
God established our value in the beginning and not according to the twenty-first century understanding of self-worth. From the beginning he found us worthy to create and reflect his image (Gen.2:7, 22).
We, then, are a contemplated creation. We were in the mind of God, and he specifically formed us with his hand.
